Natalia has 18 years of experience in representing businesses and individuals in all kinds of civil and commercial disputes, including disputes with state authorities.

Prior to joining Legal Matters, Natalia worked for KPMG (international audit company), Noerr (international law firm) and Pepeliaev Group (leading Russian law firm).

Among her clients are major international and Russian companies operating in the areas of manufacturing, oil & gas, leasing, trade, electric power & supply, consulting, agriculture, and others.

Natalia also acted as researcher and lecturer at the departments of civil and administrative litigation at the Lomonosov Moscow State University and Kutafin Moscow State Law University. She is the author of research papers, methodological and training aids on civil and commercial proceedings, as well as publications in various professional and academic legal editions.

Natalia is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of Lomonosov Moscow State University and completed her post-graduate studies at the same university. She also holds a degree in legal translation.

Natalia is fluent in English.

Alena specializes in civil and commercial litigation, and she also has experience in advising on family, inheritance, and real estate law.

Alena represents Russian and foreign clients in both civil and commercial disputes in Russia.

She also specializes in cross-border disputes over child rearing and living arrangements, family assets structuring and inheritance planning.

Alena has been working in legal consulting since 2014.

Prior to joining Legal Matters, Alena worked at the Russian law firm AT Lawyers.

Alena is the author of a number of articles on family, civil and civil procedural law issues in different legal periodicals as Legal Insight, Contemporary Problems of Russian Law etc.

She also provided commentaries and articles for Russian online legal editions and media (Garant.ru, Pravo.ru, Kommersant) and spoken at Pravo.ru conferences.

Alena graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the O.E. Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSLA).

She is proficient in English.

Graduate of the Russian School of Private Law with a specialization in private international law.

Trained in private international law and arbitration at the University of Bologna, Leiden University and The Hague Academy of International Law.

As an external consultant, he has mainly supported M&A projects in the energy, oil and gas, telecommunications and metallurgy sectors. He was involved in asset restructuring for regional developers and system integrators. Advised on the redomiciliation of a company listed on a London stock exchange. Participated in the creation of international joint ventures in the information and distributed computing sectors, including both debt and equity. Led the legal due diligence of one of the world's largest commercial seaports.

He worked on the creation and adaptation of international payment systems in Russia (JCB, UnionPay), and advised ROSSWIFT on localization of the latest forms of non-cash payments.

At Legal Matters he is responsible for domestic and international M&A, and venture financing transactions.

Sergey speaks English and French and has basic knowledge of Italian and German.

Nikolai specializes in advising on contractual, corporate, employment and real estate law.

He has been practicing law since 2014.

Prior to joining the Legal Matters team, Nikolay worked for Russian energy and industry holdings.

Nikolay graduated from the O.E. Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSLA) with a bachelor's degree, and a master's degree from the Higher School of Economics.

Farrukh specializes in civil and commercial litigation, bankruptcy and he also has experience in advising on contract law.

He represents Russian and foreign clients in both civil and commercial disputes in Russia.

Specializes in subsidiary liability litigation in bankruptcy, voiding transactions on bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy grounds, financial instruments litigation.

Farrukh has been working in legal consulting since 2015.

Prior to joining Legal Matters, Farrukh worked at the Russian law firms Schekin & Partners, Yukov & partners and State Corporation Deposit Insurance Agency.

Farrukh is the author of a number of articles on civil, bankruptcy and arbitration procedural law in such journals as Herald of Civil Procedure, Arbitration Practice for Lawyers, Company Lawyer.

He also provided commentaries and articles for Russian online legal editions and media (Pravo.ru, Izvestia).

Farrukh graduated with a master’s degree from the Russian School of Private Law.

He speaks English.

Ivan specializes in civil and commercial litigation and has experience in corporate and commercial law.

He also advises on legal issues arising in criminal cases and cases of administrative offenses.

Ivan has been practicing law since 2019, worked at the Russian law office Bartolius and Inter-Republic Bar Association.

Ivan graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the Faculty of Law of Lomonosov Moscow State University and currently is completing the postgraduate studies there.

Ivan is fluent in English.

Aleksandra specializes in civil and commercial litigation, execution proceedings and has experience in family, inheritance, tax and labour law.

Aleksandra has been working in legal consulting since 2019.

Formerly Aleksandra worked at the Russian law firm AT Lawyers.

Aleksandra graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the O.E. Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSLA).
